Cohen SUPPORTS Social Security and is COMMITTED to Ensuring RETIRED Americans are Secure

SINCE 1935, The Social Security Act has ensured millions of Americans were free from the desolation of poverty after retiring from the workforce.

TODAY, roughly 49.5 million and 1.65 million retired Americans and Illinoisans are on social security respectively. After decades of paying into the program, they are entitled and have earned their paycheck.

THOUGH some changes are needed, I will never support benefits being altered for individuals a few decades away from utilization except for increasing the retirement age to 70 for those currently under 40 years old.

I SUPPORT REFORM SOLELY FOR AMERICANS UNDER 30 YEARS OLD

I AM COMMITTED TO WORKING WITH ALL PARTIES TO FIND A SOLUTION
